Short Stories
A man I admire greatly, Dr Jordan Peterson (you will see him quoted shamelessly at various points on this website), said something along the lines of fiction being more true than reality. I understood this to mean that good stories with archetypal characters tend to hold a truth that stands the test of time, even if they are made up from the imaginations of a dreamer (think Animal Farm, The Alchemist, Lord of the Rings, Till We Have Faces). I want to write stories that have this kind of impact, stories that point to a truth more profound than reality. Read these figments of my imagination and let me know how I’m doing in the comments.
